Goldschmidt2024: Save the Dates!

Next year’s Goldschmidt Conference will take place August 18-23, 2024 in Chicago, Illinois, USA and online. The themes are now set and we invite the community to submit session and workshop proposals beginning September 1. The deadline for proposals is October 31, 2023.

Global Geoscience Societies: Early Career Survey

The Early Career and Student Communities Survey has been put together by 13 geoscience societies and is designed to help societies understand the career aspirations and challenges for students and early career professionals interested in Earth and Space Science. Simply scan the QR code above to access the survey, or use this link. 
The survey will remain open from now through December 2023.

Invite the 2023 Distinguished Lecturer to your institution this autumn

For the 2023 Distinguished Lecture Tour, Dr. Sandra Arndt (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium) will present three lectures covering different aspects of carbon cycle-climate feedbacks and their role in determining the magnitude and pace of climate change.

If your institution is based in Central or Eastern Europe and you would like to invite Dr. Arndt to present one or two lectures this fall, please contact the EAG Office.

EAG Student Sponsorship: apply by 1 September

The EAG Student Sponsorship Program provides support for in-person participation at geochemistry-related conferences, workshops and summer schools held in Europe, or online participation at events held anywhere in the world. Successful applicants will receive sponsorship of up to 500 euros to cover registration, abstract fees, and travel expenses where applicable. Applicants may be based in any country.

EAG Early Career Science Ambassador Program: apply by 1 October

The Early Career Science Ambassador Program provides up to 1500€ (50% of total expenses) for early career scientists (final stages of PhD or up to 6 years post-PhD) based in Europe to attend conferences held outside Europe (except Goldschmidt). For online attendance, the award covers abstract and registration fees and the program is open to applicants based in any country for a conference held in any country.
